Boughton House's May opening

Inside you can see the Buccleuch art collection including paintings by El Greco, Van Dyck and Gainsborough, exceptional French furniture by the master cabinetmaker André-Charles Boulle, alongside delicate Sèvres porcelain, Mortlake tapestries and 16th century rugs from the Middle East.

Visitors will be able to enjoy a self-guided tour of the ground floor rooms. The route will begin in the stunning Great Hall of the house, moving through the Little Hall, Drawing Room, Morning Room, Rainbow Room, South Passage, Audit Room and Egyptian Hall with an opportunity to view the incomparable Armoury and the unique Unfinished Wing. In these rooms our friendly knowledgeable guides will be here to help you enjoy and interpret the richness of the collection, history and heritage of Boughton.
