The Festival of Garden Literature

1 - 2 JUL
‘A friend, a book and a garden’ (as John Evelyn called his wishes in life) is unique as a literary festival which moves from garden to garden, with themes and speakers inspired by the spirit of the place. It is also distinctive as being limited to 250 guests each day, with a single ticket giving access to all talks, events, and performances. The Festival is intimate, celebratory, and immersive, with the freedom to drift from place to place.

The writers will talk about gardens, and writing on gardens, but also where gardens meet memoir, botany, history, politics, landscape, environment, art, and music. It is not about how to garden but why we garden.
