World War One Centenary Exhibition

To mark the 100 years since the end of the First World War Daventry Museum is holding a commemorative exhibition reflecting on the end of World War One and the post-war era.

On the Saturday open days visitors will be able to see special exhibits, and on the Saturday open mornings in September, November and December visitors will be able to sing along to wartime songs played on the museum piano.

The exhibition runs until Friday 14th December and will include Daventry’s tribute to those 114 Daventry soldiers from Saturday 3rd November to Sunday 11th November when there will be a special display of 114 ‘Empty Chairs’, each one representing one of the Daventry Soldiers who lost their life in the First World War. Each of these small, model chairs will have been made by a local school or community group, taking part in this project

Exhibition Dates: Saturday 1st September to Friday 14th December.
Museum Opening Times: Tuesday to Friday from 9.30am to 1.30pm and the first Saturday of the month from 10am to 4pm
