Irchester Narrow Gauge Railway Museum

Irchester Narrow Gauge Railway Museum

Irchester Narrow Gauge Railway Museum is set within Irchester Country Park. Although small in size, the Museum is packed full of interesting industrial artifacts linked with the Northamptonshire's industrial ironstone industry. Look out for the life-size diorama of a quarry. You’ll also find a collection of steam and diesel locomotives, popular with train enthusiasts - big and small!

The Museum is run by friendly volunteers. The team will gladly talk to you about the history of Northamptonshire’s narrow-gauge railways. Complete your visit to the Museum with a stroll around the woodland at Irchester Country Park. The adventure playground is popular with younger visitors.
