An Evening With Dave Clemo

28 MAR

This is an event in aid of Cransley Hospice. Dave will sing some of his songs, tell stories and read excerpts from some of his books. Dave was born in the middle of the 20th Century in Cornwall. His family moved to London in 1962 and he spent the next 12 years immersed in the counter culture and underground music scene in West London. He learned to play the guitar and played his first gig in about 1968. In 1974 he moved to Northampton and after spells living in Broughton and Somerset he moved to Kettering in 1987. Following redundancy in the early 90s he began to concentrate on his music and has released an album of mainly self penned songs every couple of years. He also plays mandolin and bass guitar. He completed a number of national theatre and festival tours before ill health curtailed his touring in 2011. Not to be outdone he turned his hand to writing and to date has had six books published, with two more in production. In his show Dave will sing some of his songs, tell stories and read excerpts from his books. Proceeds from the evening will go to Cransley Hospice.
