Middle Nene SC is the only club in the region where Illusion class mini-keelboats (also known as Mini-12) are being raced regularly. The Inland Championship/Open Meeting is an offer to other clubs and solitary Illusion sailors from across the country to come together and enjoy highly competitive racing in all weathers. The winner of the two-day event will be awarded the Inland Championship Trophy and have his/her name engraved on it. The trophy remains at MNSC, though.
