No of course it doesn’t replace the original. But yes it does deliver a sparkling new addition to the story, a what-happened-next that belongs up there in the cinema pantheon with the real thing. Emily Blunt gives us a Mary Poppins who sounds just right and takes no nonsense. Lin-Manuel Miranda (Alexander Hamilton) sings and dances his way into your heart while Ben Whishaw, also known as the voice of Paddington, breaks your heart in two. Fabulous dancing, great new songs, not to be missed.
