ProArtium Lecture Series: Peeping through the Keyhole

7 MAY
Peeping Through the Keyhole: The Lives and Afterlives of Interiors.

We are delighted to welcome back Dr Conny Bailey, Dr Miriam Gill and Dr Ellie Pridgeon of ProArtium; three experienced lecturers who deliver informative, yet informal lectures, covering a wide range of art historical themes and topics. With extensive experience of teaching and delivering inspirational courses at the University of Leicester and local Arts and Heritage centres, this is a series not to be missed!

Peeping through the Keyhole: The Lives and Afterlives of Interiors will look at Interiors, both ancient and modern, and how they form a vital part of our material culture. Frequently updated to reflect the fashions and tastes of their own time, they simultaneously become free-frame snapshots of lives lived. As representatives of both change as well as permanence, they are central to our understanding of our own development as a society; they reflect both the historic and cultural events that have shaped our lives and turn the focus on the individuals whose lives are documented through them.

Please note, lectures will take place in the Learning and Activity Suite and does not include general admission to the hall and/or gardens.

Book now for a full series ticket to all six lectures for £40 on the website: www.kelmarsh.com
Individual tickets cost £8, and can be purchased on the day at the visitor centre desk.
