With spring in full swing, now's the time to get out and about 

1. Easter Adventures in Nature, Canons Ashby (15-18 April)

Discover a family-friendly trail in Canons Ashby parkland with fun activities for you to do along the way. Pick up your activity pack to find the bespoke trail you’re going to follow. Find and complete the ten nature inspired activities that are hiding along the way. 'Spot the signs of spring', 'Wibble and wobble' and 'Wake the wild things' are just some of the activities you can experience. Complete the trail and earn your Rainforest Alliance chocolate egg at the end. Easter trail runs from Friday 15 - Monday 18 April from 10am with last entry at 4pm and costs £3 per trail.

2. All Clucking Nighter, Adrenaline Alley (8 April)

Ride/skate through the night at Adrenaline Alley’s Easter special all clucking nighter. Win prizes for doing tricks in the Official Eggs Games (scoot, BMX, skateboard, and inline/quad). It's going to be a cracking night, advance booking recommended.

3. Easter Bunny Express, Rushden Transport Museum (17-18 April)

Hop on board the Easter Bunny Express, all children receive an egg with their ticket. Animals in Mind will bring along a variety of animals for you and your children to meet. Museum bar and buffet carriage all open too. £5 adults, £5 children, book online here:

4. Easter Eggstraveganza, Delapre Abbey (15-18 April)

Hop along to Delapré Abbey this Easter to take part in an Easter Eggstravaganza. Can you find the eight decorated eggs that have been hidden in the Walled Garden? Follow the trail and match the patterns to your bingo card to win a chocolate prize. Little ones and their grown-ups are guaranteed an egg-cellent time taking part in craft activities, lawn games, planting seeds and more. Timed entry every hour. 5. Easter Fun, Rockingham Castle (17-18 April)

Join in the Egg-citement at Rockingham Castle as the castle and gardens open this Easter Bank Holiday from noon to 4pm. Collect your leaflet and start exploring the gardens’ Kings & Queens Easter Trail. Don’t forget, once you’ve completed your booklet, you can collect your Easter Egg! Billy the Bunny will be around, make sure you say hello! Delicious refreshments will be served on site, with stunning views across the Welland Valley, perfect for picnics. 6. Easter Trail, Deene Park (17-18 April)

Enjoy a fun Easter themed trail through the gardens and parkland with storytelling sessions, visits from the Easter Bunny, chocolate prizes, and delicious treats from the Old Kitchen tearoom. Easter trail included in Garden Entry, from £6.

7. Easter Adventures in Nature, Lyveden New Bield (15-18 April)

Make your way along the trail and find nature inspired activities for the whole family this Easter weekend in Lyveden’s fabulous moated garden. Easter trail runs from Friday 15 - Monday 18 April, from 10am with last entry at 4pm, and costs £3 per trail. Includes a trail map, pencil and a chocolate egg at the end.

8. Giant Easter Egg hunt, Chester House Estate (2-18 April)

Explore the estate and search for the large hidden eggs. Collect the numbers on your map and collect a special chocolate prize at the end. On arrival please visit the Visitor Centre in the main farmyard to redeem your booking code and collect your Easter Passport. 9. Easter Egg Trail, Stanwick Lakes (2-18 April)

Don’t be late for this very important date! The Stanwick Lakes Easter Egg trail runs throughout the school Easter holidays, with large eggs and charming characters to find. And each weekend of the holidays will include a chance to see adorable animals, enjoy face painting and fun craft activities. The trail and activities coincide with the reopening of the visitor centre and café. No booking needed, £3 per trail.

10. Wicky's Easter Bunny Ball, Wicksteed Park (9 April)

11. Kids Afternoon Easter Tea, Kettering Park Hotel  (7 April)

12. Bouncing Bunny Hunt, Evenley Wood Garden  (11-18  April)

13. Dawn Chorus, Evenly Wood Garden (23 April)

Head to Evenley Wood Garden at 6:30am on April 23rd. Early spring is an excellent time to experience the world’s oldest wake-up call - the dawn chorus - and the beauty of bird song. This event offers listeners a truly memorable experience as the dawn chorus builds from the first cheep to a crescendo of birdsong. 14. Kelmarsh Show, Kelmarsh Hall & Gardens  (17-18 April)

15. Easter Eggstravaganza, West Lodge Rural Farm (14-18 April)

16. Easter Trail, Abington Park Museum (13-17 April)

17. Make your Own Easter Eggs, Explore Chocolate  (5 April onwards)

18. Easter Magic, Holdenby (17-18 April)

Alice in Wonderland will lay the trail for a magical Easter Egg Hunt in the Holdenby gardens where King Charles I once walked. Every Alice token found will earn a free Easter Egg and each day there will also be hidden a Golden Egg, which contains £100. Alice’s assistants will be showing visitors how to paint eggs and organising egg rolling. Visitors can also enjoy traditional garden games, the newly opened wildlife wing, fabulous falconry displays, Connie’s Team Room and more. Open Sunday and Monday 11-4pm. House also opens for tours on Easter Monday, 12-3pm.

19. Egg Hunt, East Carlton Countryside Park  (17 April)

Fabulous family Easter Egg trail at the park on Easter Sunday, 11am-3pm. £3 per child (includes an Easter Egg). Ample parking, fun for all the family.

20. Egg Hunt, Winwick Hall  (16 April)

Choose a team name, collect your Detective Pack and solve the clues for a chocolatey surprise at the end of your hunt! Don’t forget to visit the lovely Polo Pavilion Tea Room once you have finished. The Tea Room will be open from 10am until 2pm for light refreshments. Please book at least one week in advance for a full Afternoon Tea.
