Northampton Bach Choir

Northampton Bach Choir

Approaching its 85th anniversary, Northampton Bach Choir is one of the largest and most successful choirs in the county – performing major choral classics regularly at St Matthew’s Church, Northampton, and with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at Derngate.  The choir has been lucky to have had numerous charismatic and visionary musical directors and is currently led by talented conductor, composer and arranger, Lee Dunleavy.  The choir regularly tours and has sung in St Peter’s Basilica in Rome, Nôtre Dame, St Mark’s in Venice and numerous English cathedrals – including St Paul’s, St George’s Chapel, Windsor, and Westminster Abbey.  The choir has recorded several CDs- including Congaudeat – a collection of Christmas music, all with links to Northamptonshire.
