Our 2 AA Rosette Restaurant offers guests and locals an intimate and relaxing setting within which to enjoy it’s menu of classic British dishes that have been enhanced with a contemporary twist.
Head Chef, Richard Walker, places provenance at the heart of the kitchen, sourcing produce from trusted local suppliers wherever possible to ensure the highest quality of ingredients. Updated seasonally, the menu is characterised by vibrant flavours, fresh textures and specialities such as orchard reared pork cutlet and loin of Highland venison.
Located on the ground floor of the South Wing, the dining space was built in the early 16th century and displays many hallmarks of the Tudor era, with a beamed ceiling, exposed brickwork and stone fireplace. The Cedar Restaurant has been sympathetically decorated to enhance these period features, with hung tapestries, wall lanterns and antique style furniture to complement the historical surroundings. Guests are invited to settle in for the evening and soak in the unique atmosphere whilst enjoying an intimate dinner for two, a group meal, or Sunday lunch with the whole family.
